Lessons Learned from Mountain Climbing

Mountain climbing is more than just a sports activity for me. I always learn new things after every climb and heating the peak. And here I want to share with you some of my lessons learned from mountain climbing.

First: define your goal as clear as possible

If you have a goal in your life or career, it is important to define and determine it very clearly. You can use some technics like SMART for that.

Second: choose a flexible path

Do not worry if you need to change and rethink your path. It is absolutely natural that you change your path during the journey, but you know that your target and goal are still there.

Third: perseverance is the key

Do not forget that also hard work is important, but perseverance is the thing that reaches you to the peak. Never give up when you feel tired and discouraged, take a short rest, relax, gain energy, and continue your way toward the peak.

Fourth: Think positive

On the way to the peak, there are several obstacles, barriers, and difficulties. Never pay attention to them, do not let them discourage you and deplete your energy. Think positive, think about your goal, leave them, and go on.

Five: just do it

Planning and thinking about different aspects of a program/project is important, but you have to walk and go ahead if you want to reach your target! In mountain climbing you will perceive that progression is much better than perfection!

Good luck with your Climbing, as well as with your life and career.

This sounded a very good reason, and Alice was quite pleased to know it. ‘I never thought.
